"Cosas Materiales,"

Verso de hoy:

 Por tanto, diles: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: "Vuélvete a mí, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y yo volveré a ti" ... - Zacarías 1: 3

 El deseo de Dios para todos nosotros es volver a Él.  Habrá ocasiones en las que simplemente olvidemos algunas cosas que Él nos ha ofrecido en la vida y abracemos un mundo de cosas materiales.  En lugar de llenar nuestra vida con Dios, la llenamos con las cosas del mundo.  Nos dejamos llevar por los placeres mundanos y nos olvidamos de honrar a Dios con nuestras vidas.  Ahora es el momento de regresar a Él y encontrar el camino de regreso a Sus brazos amorosos.  A medida que nos esforzamos por hacer esto, Dios nos lleva a un lugar en el que podemos ver más de Él a nuestro alrededor.  Las cosas materiales son grandiosas, pero pueden alejarnos de nuestro amoroso Salvador si las permitimos.  - Comentario de Matthew J.  Oración de hoy:

 Padre Dios, ayúdanos a ver más allá de las cosas materiales de este mundo y a las cosas que nos has ofrecido.  Muéstranos lo que significa regresar a Tus amorosos brazos.  Amén.

"Material Things,"

Today’s Verse:

Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you’... – Zechariah 1:3

God’s desire for all of us is to return to Him. There are going to be times when we simply forget a few things He has offered us in life and embrace a world of material things. Instead of filling our lives with God, we fill our lives with the things of the world. We get taken in by the worldly pleasures and forget to honor God with our lives. Now is the time for us to return to Him and to find our way back into His loving arms. As we make the effort to do this, God brings us to a place in which we can see more of Him around us. Material things are great, but they can keep us from our loving Savior if we let them. - Commentary by Matthew J. Elliott

Today’s Prayer:

Father God, Help us to see past the material things of this world and into the things that You have offered us. Show us what it means to return to Your loving arms. Amen.
