"La tercera vez,"

Verso de hoy:

 Esta es la tercera vez que vengo a ti.  - 2 Corintios 13: 1a

 Siendo padre de dos hijos, este versículo suena demasiado familiar.  Los padres a menudo repiten instrucciones, lecciones y advertencias a sus hijos.  A menudo, los niños ignoran y desobedecen a sus padres hasta que aprenden la difícil lección por sí mismos.  El apóstol Pablo fue un padre espiritual para muchos cristianos primitivos, ya que pasó muchos años viajando como misionero, plantando iglesias y construyendo iglesias.  Pablo continuó incansablemente monitoreando cómo les iba a los primeros creyentes y las iglesias, y se aseguró de que, como una figura paterna, nunca dejara de disciplinar y preocuparse.  Yo era un adolescente testarudo y terco.  Mientras crecía, estoy seguro de que causé mucho dolor y decepciones a las personas que me amaban, especialmente a mi madre.  Sin embargo, ella nunca dejó de apoyarme.  Nunca se cansó de corregir mis defectos y levantarme cuando tropecé y fallé.  Escuchemos el consejo de la iglesia y nuestros ancianos cristianos, ya que no debemos esperar a que vengan a nosotros por tercera vez antes de cambiar nuestros caminos.  - Comentario de: Mark Natividad

 Nuestro Padre Celestial, gracias por seguir amándonos a pesar de que te hemos desobedecido muchas veces.  Señor, ayúdanos a ser obedientes y diligentemente busca tu voluntad para nosotros.  En el nombre de Jesús, amén.

"The Third Time,"

Today's Verse:

This is the third time I am coming to you. - 2 Corinthians 13:1a

Being a father of two kids, this verse sounds all too familiar. Parents often repeat instructions, lessons, and warnings to their children. Often children ignore and disobey their parents until they learn the difficult lesson for themselves. Apostle Paul was a spiritual father to many early Christians having spent many years traveling as a missionary, church planting, and church building. Paul tirelessly continued to monitor how the early believers and churches were doing and he saw to it that as a father-like figure, he never stopped disciplining and caring. I was a headstrong and stubborn teenager. While growing up I am sure I caused a lot of pain and disappointments for those people who loved me, especially my mother. However, she never ceased to support me. She never got tired correcting my shortcomings and lifting me up when I stumbled and failed. Let us listen to the advice of the church and our Christian elders, for we should not wait for them to come to us a third time before we change our ways. - Commentary by: Mark Natividad

Our Heavenly Father, thank You for still loving us even though we have disobeyed You many times. Lord, help us to be obedient and diligently seek Your will for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
