"La voluntad del viento"
Verso de hoy:
El viento sopla donde quiere, y oyes su sonido, pero no sabes de dónde viene ni a dónde va. Así sucede con todos los que nacen del espíritu. - Juan 3: 8
Ayer saqué a mis hijos a volar sus cometas. El río de aire invisible que se arremolinaba empujó a través de la atmósfera con poder y belleza mientras agarraba la vela de plástico y la suspendía en el aire ... hasta que sin darse cuenta la giró y se estrelló la cometa en la nariz del suelo primero. Vimos la belleza y la frustración que el viento puede traer. El viento puede ofrecernos un respiro refrescante en un día caluroso, puede hacer girar turbinas que alimentan nuestras ciudades y puede formar embudos que giran fuera de control y nivelan pueblos enteros. En este versículo, Jesús le explica a Nicodemo que el Espíritu de Dios es como esta hermosa y poderosa fuerza de la naturaleza. Como cristianos, nacemos en ese maravilloso Espíritu y el Espíritu nos mueve de la manera que nos gusta y de la que no. Pero a pesar de todo, podemos encontrar esperanza en la realidad de que Dios tiene una razón y un propósito para todo, incluso cuando nuestra cola está envuelta alrededor de nuestra cuerda y nuestra nariz está en la tierra, podemos encontrar la belleza en lo que tiene. Amable Padre Celestial, gracias por darnos un mundo tan vibrante y hermoso para habitar. ¡Gracias por las imágenes constantes que nos muestran su esplendor y maravilla! Ayúdenos a recordar que cuando los vientos de nuestras vidas parecen estar fuera de control, podemos encontrar la paz al recurrir a usted y confiar en usted en todo. Amén.

"The Will of the Wind,"
Today's Verse:
The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the spirit. - John 3:8
I took my kids out yesterday to fly their kites. The swirling invisible river of air pushed through the atmosphere with power and beauty as it grabbed the plastic sail and su*pended it in the air… until it unceremoniously swirled it around and crash landed the kite into the ground nose first. We saw the beauty and the frustration that the wind can bring. The wind can offer us a refreshing respite on a hot day, it can spin turbines that power our cities and it can form funnels that spin out of control and level entire towns. In this verse, Jesus explains to Nicodemus that the Spirit of God is like this beautiful and powerful force of nature. As Christians, we are born into that wonderful Spirit and the Spirit moves us in ways that we like and ways that we don’t. But through it all, we can find hope in the reality that God has a reason and purpose for all of it, even when our tail is wrapped around our string and our nose is in the dirt we can find the beauty in what He has in store. - Commentary by: Stephen Proctor

Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us such a vibrant and beautiful world to inhabit. Thank You for the constant images that show us Your splendor and wonder! Help us remember that when the winds of our lives seem to be spiraling out of control, we can find peace by turning to You and rely on You in everything. Amen.
