"Debilidad poderosa"

Verso de hoy:

 pero él me dijo: "Mi gracia es suficiente para ti, porque el poder se perfecciona en la debilidad".  Entonces, me jactaré más alegremente de mis debilidades, para que el poder de Cristo pueda habitar en mí.  - 2 Corintios 12: 9

 Vivo con una enfermedad crónica.  Tomo nueve medicamentos al día y me hacen análisis cada pocas semanas.  No siempre entendemos por qué el Señor nos permite tener ciertos problemas y desafíos de salud.  Sin embargo, como Pablo nos recuerda en 2 Corintios, a veces el Señor no eliminará ciertas dificultades de nuestras vidas debido al testimonio que podemos compartir a través de ellas para darle gloria.  Nuestro testimonio puede superar cualquier beneficio potencial o alivio del problema que de otro modo podríamos recibir.  Pero si podemos decirle a los demás cuánto luchamos y cómo finalmente conseguimos la victoria a través de la fuerza del Señor y no de la nuestra, eso le da gloria.  Siempre que los problemas de salud crónicos u otros contratiempos lo depriman, ofrézcalos a Dios para que lo use como Él lo considere conveniente y también utilícelos como una señal de tráfico para señalar a otros la fuente de su fortaleza y esperanza.  Si podemos usar nuestras debilidades para señalar a Dios y darle la gloria, entonces esa es una debilidad muy poderosa.  - Comentario de: Chelsea Henry

 La oración de hoy:

 Señor, no siempre entiendo por qué me permites tener algunos de los problemas que tengo, pero confío en que tienes un plan perfecto para mi vida que se desarrolla exactamente como lo imaginaste.  Por favor, ayúdame a recordar eso, especialmente cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles y me desanimo.  Amén.

"Powerful Weakness,"

Today's Verse:

but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

I live with a chronic health condition. I take nine medications a day and have labs drawn every few weeks. We don’t always understand why the Lord allows us to have certain health problems and challenges. However, as Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians, sometimes the Lord will not remove certain hardships from our lives because of the testimony we can share through them to give Him glory. Our testimony can outweigh any potential benefit or relief from the problem we might otherwise receive. But if we can tell others how hard we struggle and how we ultimately obtain victory through the Lord’s strength and not our own, that gives glory to Him. Whenever chronic health issues or other setbacks get you down, offer them up to God to use as He sees fit and also use them as a road sign to point others to the source of your strength and hope. If we can use our weaknesses to point to God and give Him the glory, then that's a very powerful weakness indeed. - Commentary by: Chelsea Henry

Today's Prayer:

Lord, I don’t always understand why You allow me to have some of the problems I have, but I trust that You have a perfect plan for my life that is unfolding exactly the way You envisioned it. Please help me to remember that, especially when the going gets tough and I get discouraged. Amen.
