"Dependencia en Independencia"

Verso de hoy:

 El Señor fue delante de ellos en una columna de nube durante el día, para guiarlos por el camino, y en una columna de fuego por la noche, para darles luz, para que pudieran viajar de día y de noche.  Ni la columna de nube de día ni la columna de fuego de noche dejaron su lugar frente a la gente.  - Éxodo 13: 21-22

 Cuando escucho y leo sobre naciones que celebran su día de la independencia, como filipinos, pienso en revolucionarios, ejércitos y guerras violentas.  La independencia de Filipinas costó muchas vidas.  El gobierno colonial español poseía armamento y tecnología superiores, imagina cuchillos, espadas y bayonetas contra revólveres, rifles y artillería.  Pero la independencia judía de los egipcios no se trataba de ejércitos o guerras violentas, la Santa Biblia nos dice cómo Dios hizo todo por su pueblo elegido.  Fue Dios quien envió las plagas y realizó los milagros, todo lo que los israelitas tenían que hacer era creer.  El día que Pharoah finalmente les permitió salir de Egipto, la dependencia de los israelitas de Dios solo se hizo más evidente y el Señor nunca les falló.  Viajaron en el desierto y el Señor se puso delante de ellos en una columna de nube durante el día, para guiarlos por el camino, y una columna de fuego por la noche, para darles luz para que pudieran viajar de día y de noche.  .  ¡Qué vista tan maravillosa fue!  Dios les proporcionó todo lo que necesitaban.  A medida que crecemos en la fe, nos damos cuenta de que dependemos del Señor y, aparte de Él, no somos nada.  No luches por la independencia de Dios.  Continúa confiando en Él porque nunca nos dejará ni nos abandonará.  - Comentario de: Mark Natividad

 Nuestro Padre Celestial, gracias por tu gracia, misericordia y amor.  Señor, dependemos de ti y, aparte de ti, no somos más que ovejas perdidas.  Ponemos nuestras vidas y confiamos en su cuidado.  En el nombre de Jesús, amén.

"Dependence in Independence,"

Today's Verse:

The Lord went in front of them in a pillar of cloud by day, to lead them along the way, and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light, so that they might travel by day and by night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people. - Exodus 13:21-22

When I hear and read of nations celebrating their independence day, as a Filipino, I think of revolutionaries, armies, and bl*ody wars. The Philippines ' independence came at the cost of many lives. The Spanish colonial government possessed superior weaponry and technology, imagine knives, swords, and bayonets going up against revolvers, rifles, and artillery. But the Jewish independence from the Egyptians was not about armies or bl*ody wars, the Holy Bible tells us how God did everything for His chosen people. It was God who sent the plagues and performed the miracles, all the Israelites had to do was believe. On the day Pharoah finally allowed them to leave Egypt, the Israelites’ dependence upon God only grew more evident and the Lord never failed them. They traveled in the wilderness and the Lord went in front of them in a pillar of cloud by day, to lead them along the way, and a pillar of fire by night, to give them light so that they might travel by day and by night. What a wonderful sight it was! God provided them with everything they needed. As we grow in faith we realize that we are dependent on the Lord and apart from Him, we are nothing. Don’t strive for independence from God. Continue to trust Him for He will never leave or desert us. - Commentary by: Mark Natividad

Our Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace, mercy, and love. Lord, we are dependent upon You and apart from You, we are nothing but lost sheep. We place our lives and trust in Your care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
