"Resistencia,"

Verso de hoy:

 Mis hermanos y hermanas, cuando enfrenten pruebas de cualquier tipo, no lo consideren más que alegría, porque saben que la prueba de su fe produce resistencia;  y deja que la resistencia tenga su efecto completo, para que puedas ser maduro y completo, sin nada.  - Santiago 1: 1-3

 Cuando pienso en la palabra resistencia, pienso en superar algo desagradable.  El tipo de resistencia que el Señor quiere es cuando confiamos en él con un corazón alegre.  Sabemos que Él es fiel siempre, sin falta.  Necesitamos esperar expectantes como si ya supiéramos que sus promesas se han hecho realidad.  Eso no significa que las tormentas en esta vida no vendrán.  Hay una razón para cada evento en tu vida.  Él te dio ciertos talentos, intereses y rasgos de personalidad para prepararte para hacer lo que te ha llamado a hacer.  Cuando comienzas a mirar la vida a través de la lente de llevar a cabo el propósito específico que el Señor te asignó, la vida se vuelve mucho menos complicada y mucho más clara.  Dejará de flotar en las olas de incertidumbre y, en cambio, permanecerá anclado en la seguridad.  Las tormentas son una certeza en esta vida.  Protegidos bajo sus poderosas alas, esperamos que las tormentas vayan y vengan.  Nos mantenemos alegres, esperanzados, constantes.  No cambiamos solo porque nuestras circunstancias lo hacen.  Nuestro Dios no cambia, así que debemos permanecer firmes también.  - Comentario de: Chelsea Henry

 Señor, ayúdame a mantener la calma en medio de la tormenta y a confiar en que tus brazos protectores me mantendrán a salvo.  Ayúdame a ver mi vida a través de Tus ojos y muéstrame lo que quieres que haga.  ¡Amén!

"Endurance,"

Today's Verse:

My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing. - James 1:1-3

When I think of the word endurance, I think of getting through something unpleasant. The kind of endurance the Lord wants is when we trust him with a cheerful heart. We know that He is faithful always, without fail. We need to wait expectantly as though we already know his promises have come true. That doesn't mean that storms in this life won't come. There is a reason for every event in your life. He gave you certain talents, interests, and personality traits to equip you to do what He has called you to do. When you start looking at life through the lens of carrying out the specific purpose that the Lord assigned to you, life becomes a lot less complicated and a lot more clear. You will stop drifting on the waves of uncertainty and instead stay anchored in assurance. Storms are a certainty in this life. Sheltered under His mighty wings, we wait for the storms to come and go. We stay cheerful, hopeful, constant. We don't change just because our circumstances do. Our God doesn't change, so we are to stay steadfast too. - Commentary by: Chelsea Henry

Today's Prayer:

Lord, help me to stay calm in the midst of the storm, and to trust that your sheltering arms will keep me safe. Help me to see my life through Your eyes, and show me what You want me to do. Amen!
