"Verdadero Amor Al Prójimo,"

Verso de hoy:

 Él le dijo: "Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y ​​con toda tu mente". Este es el primer y mayor mandamiento.  Y un segundo es semejante: "Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo". Mateo 22: 37-39.

 A menudo se habla del amor, pero a veces me pregunto si la mayoría de la gente sabe qué es el amor verdadero.  En 1 Corintios 13, hay una definición más profunda de amor, y te animo a leerla.  Sin embargo, para resumir, creo que podemos definir el amor como velar genuinamente por el mejor interés de los demás.  Es fácil hablar sobre el amor y mirar el mundo y pensar: "deberíamos amarnos más".  Sin embargo, ¿qué vamos a hacer al respecto?  ¿Vamos a velar genuinamente por los mejores intereses de aquellos con quienes no estamos de acuerdo o de aquellos que nos ponen de los nervios?  ¿Qué hay de todas las personas con las que entramos en contacto cada día?  Sea intencional en amar a quienes le rodean.  Preste atención a las necesidades de los demás;  Aprovecha cada oportunidad para amar a tu prójimo.  - Comentario de Traci Elliott

Love is often spoken of, but I wonder sometimes whether most people know what true love is. In 1 Corinthians 13, there is a deeper definition of love, and I encourage you to read it. To sum it up though, I think we can define love as genuinely looking out for the best interest of others. It is easy to talk about love and to look at the world and think, “we should love each other more.” However, what are we going to do about it? Are we going to genuinely look out for the best interests of those we disagree with or those who get on our nerves? How about all the people we come in contact with each day? Be intentional about loving those around you. Pay attention to the needs of others; make the most of every opportunity to love your neighbor. - Commentary by Traci Elliott

Heavenly Father, teach us to love more truly and empower us to follow through on it. Especially help us to love and forgive those who we feel least deserve it. Amen.
