"Riesgos íntimos,"

Verso de hoy:

 Y pensemos en cómo animarnos unos a otros al amor y a las buenas obras, no descuidando el encuentro, como es costumbre de algunos, sino animándonos unos a otros, y más a medida que se acerca el Día.  - Hebreos 10: 24-25

 Las pruebas en la vida tienden a marcarnos el corazón, haciendo que nos cerremos a amistades profundas y significativas, algunas más que otras.  ¿Alguna vez alguien trató de invertir, perseguir o cuidar profundamente de usted y eso le asustó?  ¿Por qué te asustó?  Muchos de nosotros tenemos miedo de abrir nuestro corazón a nuevas amistades porque tememos volver a ser heridos.  Hemos sido creados para tener amistades cercanas, para estar dedicados al compañerismo (Hechos 2:42).  Dios nos ha creado para perseguirnos unos a otros, para afilarnos unos a otros y para crecer unos con otros.  Dios también anhela tener una relación íntima y cercana con nosotros;  conocerlo, comprender que es bueno y saber que tiene un plan para nuestras vidas.  Examine su corazón y pídale a Dios que sane las heridas y cicatrices que están allí para que pueda desarrollar relaciones significativas con Dios y otros creyentes.  - Comentario de Kristina Taylor

 Oración de hoy:

 Dios, oramos para que permitas suavemente que nuestras heridas pasadas se curen con Tu amor incondicional y reconfortante.  Padre, guíanos en las relaciones con las que nos has bendecido y permítenos elegir nuevas con sabiduría.  Abre nuestros corazones a la intimidad contigo y con los demás.  Aunque esto puede ser difícil, oramos para que continuamente volvamos nuestro corazón a Ti.

Today’s Verse: 

And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:24-25

Trials in life tend to scar our hearts, causing us to close ourselves off to deep and meaningful friendships, some more than others. Have you ever had someone try to invest, pursue, or deeply care for you, and it scared you? Why did it scare you? Many of us are afraid to open our hearts to new friendships because we’re afraid we’ll be hurt again. We have been created for close friendships, to be devoted to fellowship (Acts 2:42). God has created us to pursue each other, to sharpen each other, and to grow with each other. God also craves having a close intimate relationship with us; to know Him, to understand He is good, and to know that He has a plan for our lives. Examine your heart, and ask God to heal the wounds and scars that are there so that you can develop meaningful relationships with God and other believers. - Commentary by Kristina Taylor

Today’s Prayer:

God, we pray that You would gently allow our past hurts to heal with Your unconditional and comforting love. Father, guide us in the relationships You have blessed us with and enable us to choose new ones wisely. Open our hearts up to intimacy with You and others. Though this can be difficult, we pray that we continually turn our hearts to You.
