"Podría Ser Peor,"

Verso de hoy:

 Pero Él me dijo: "Bástate mi gracia, porque el poder se perfecciona en la debilidad".  Por tanto, me gloriaré más alegremente de mi debilidad, para que el poder de Cristo more en mí.  - 2 Corintios 12: 9

 Hace dos semanas, un automóvil chocó contra mi motocicleta.  Doy gracias al Señor por no haberlo hecho en ese momento.  Estaba parado a un par de metros de distancia cuando un coche chocó contra él a toda velocidad.  Fue aterrador estar tan cerca del accidente y casi me sobrecogió la conmoción.  Nunca había estado tan cerca de un accidente como ese.  La fuerza de la colisión y mi motocicleta derribada y patinando por la carretera como un juguete fue abrumadora.  Cuando llegué a casa, comencé a pensar en lo que podría haber hecho de otra manera para prevenirlo.  Sin embargo, muchos días después del accidente me di cuenta de que las cosas podrían haber ido mucho peor.  El conductor del automóvil me dijo que ni siquiera vio mi motocicleta cuando chocó con ella.  ¿Qué hubiera pasado si estuviera encendido?  Me da miedo pensarlo.  En ese momento vulnerable, la gracia de Dios me rescató y me mantuvo a salvo.  Siempre estamos bajo Su protección.  El daño a la motocicleta es reparable y reemplazable, sin embargo, una vida perdida no lo es.  - Comentario de Mark Natividad

 Nuestro Padre Celestial, gracias por Tu misericordia y gracia sin fin.  Señor, ayúdanos en nuestros momentos de necesidad porque no somos nada sin ti.  Siempre dependemos de ti.  En el nombre de Jesús, Amén.

"Could Be Worse,"

Today’s Verse:

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Two weeks ago, a car crashed into my motorcycle. I thank the Lord I was not on it at the time. I was standing a couple of meters away when a car plowed into it at full speed. It was terrifying to be so close to the accident and I was almost overcome by shock. I have never been so close to an accident like that. The force of the collision and my motorcycle being knocked down and skidding across the road like a toy was overwhelming. When I got home, I began to think about what I could have done differently to prevent it. However, many days after the accident I realized things could have gone much worse. The driver of the car told me she didn’t even see my motorcycle as she ran into it. What would have happened if I was on? It scares me to think about it. In that vulnerable moment, God’s grace rescued and kept me safe. We are always under His protection. The damage to the motorcycle is repairable and it is replaceable however, a life taken is not. - Commentary by Mark Natividad

Our Heavenly Father, thank You for Your never-ending mercy and grace. Lord, help us in our times of need for we are nothing without You. We are forever dependent upon You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
