"Cuando Estás Fuera,"

Verso de hoy:

 Recítelos a sus hijos y hable de ellos cuando esté en casa y cuando esté fuera, cuando se acueste y cuando se levante.  - Deuteronomio 6: 7

 Todos los días, cuando llegaba a casa del trabajo, mi esposa me contaba cómo había ido su día.  Por lo general, se iluminaba en medio de nuestra charla y contaba una historia sobre cómo nuestro hijo hablaba o caminaba como yo, o cómo nuestra hija se sentaba y comía su comida exactamente como yo.  Ella diría que las similitudes son asombrosamente innegables.  Me di cuenta de que nos guste o no, somos modelos a seguir para ellos, ya que nos admiran e inconscientemente imitan incluso nuestros gestos más sutiles que exhibimos.  Es por eso que cuando estamos con ellos, además de comportarnos de la mejor manera, debemos enseñarles con regularidad acerca de Dios, Su reino y Sus enseñanzas.  Entonces, cuando crecen mientras estamos fuera o no con ellos, aman a Dios y Sus enseñanzas ya están arraigadas en sus corazones y mentes.  - Comentario de Mark Natividad

 Oración de hoy:

 Nuestro Padre Celestial, ayúdanos a enseñar a nuestros hijos acerca de Ti y a ser buenos ejemplos para ellos.  Ayúdanos para que tus enseñanzas se vean reflejadas en nuestras acciones y podamos dar un buen ejemplo a los demás.  Amén.

Today’s Verse:

Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. - Deuteronomy 6:7

Every day when I got home from work, my wife would tell me how her day went. Usually, she would light up in the middle of our talk and tell a story about how our son would talk or walk like me, or how our daughter would sit and eat her food exactly as I do. She would say that the similarities are amazingly undeniable. I realized that whether we like it or not, we are role models to them as they look up to us and unconsciously imitate even our subtlest mannerisms we exhibit. That’s why when we are with them, aside from being on our best behavior, we should regularly teach them about God, His kingdom, and His teachings. So when they grow up while we are away or not with them, they love God, and His teachings are already ingrained in their hearts and minds. - Commentary by Mark Natividad

Today’s Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, help us to teach our children about You and to be good examples to them. Help us so that your teachings are reflected by our actions and that we can provide a good example for others. Amen.
