"Más Cerca Y Más Lejos,"

 Y yendo un poco más lejos, se tiró al suelo y oró para que, si fuera posible, pasara la hora de él.  - San Marcos 14:35

 ¿Cómo describe su relación con Dios?  ¿Lo llamas con regularidad o solo oras en momentos de necesidad y emergencia?  A un amigo mío le gusta publicar mucho en las redes sociales y, a menudo, se trata de sus salidas a beber más recientes.  Entonces algo en su vida sale mal y por un tiempo vuelve a enfocar su vida en Dios.  A menudo tenemos largas conversaciones sobre lo que está luchando.  Pero después de que todo vuelve a ir bien, vuelve a beber y a divertirse con sus amigos.  Es un ciclo predecible que ha durado años.  Oro para que comience a tomar su relación con Dios más en serio.  Entonces, ¿estamos contentos con una relación casual con Dios que solo lo invita a nuestras vidas cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles?  ¿O estamos listos para ponernos serios y tomar pasos conscientes para tener una relación más profunda con nuestro Creador?  Nunca es demasiado tarde para cambiar y dar esos pasos adicionales porque Él siempre está ahí esperando que vayamos a Él.  - Comentario de Mark Natividad

 Nuestro Padre Celestial, humildemente te pedimos perdón por alejarnos de Ti.  Señor, acércanos más a Ti para que podamos tener una relación profunda e íntima contigo.  En el nombre de Jesús, Amén.

Today’s Verse:

And going a little farther, He threw Himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. - Mark 14:35

How do you describe your relationship with God? Do you call unto Him regularly or only pray in times of need and emergency? A close friend of mine likes to post a lot on social media and it’s often about his most recent drinking outings. Then something in his life goes wrong and for a time he refocuses his life on God. We often have long conversations about what he is struggling with. But after everything starts to go well again he’s back out drinking and partying with his friends. It’s a predictable cycle that’s gone on for years. I pray that he begins to take his relationship with God more seriously. So are we content with a casual relationship with God only inviting Him into our lives when things get tough? Or are we ready to get serious and take conscious steps to have a deeper relationship with our Creator? It is never too late to change and take those extra steps for He is always there waiting for us to come to Him. - Commentary by Mark Natividad

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, we humbly ask for Your forgiveness for distancing ourselves from You. Lord, draw us closer to You so that we may have a deep and intimate relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
