"Creciendo Mientras Espera,"

Versículo de hoy:

 Pero creced en la gracia y el conocimiento de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo.  A él sea la gloria ahora y hasta el día de la eternidad.  Amén.  - 2 Pedro 3:18

 El versículo habla de lo que los cristianos deben hacer mientras esperan el regreso de nuestro Señor y Salvador, Jesucristo.  Según el contexto de este versículo, algunos cuestionaron la credibilidad de la promesa de Cristo de regresar.  Eso perturbó mucho a los creyentes.  Entonces el apóstol Pedro les recordó que mil años es solo un día con el Señor y que el Señor es fiel en lo que había prometido.  Luego les recordó que mientras esperan Su venida, deben vivir sus vidas en santidad y piedad, y crecer en el conocimiento de nuestro Señor y Salvador, Jesucristo.  Mientras esperamos ese momento glorioso que Dios decidirá, es nuestra responsabilidad como cristianos crecer y vivir una vida que le agrade hasta que Él regrese.  - Comentario de Jeremy B.  Oración de hoy:

 Señor, mientras espero ese hermoso momento, ayúdame a crecer y madurar.  Oro para que me ayudes a crecer, vivir una vida que te agrade y ser una inspiración para los demás.

Today's Verse:

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. - 2 Peter 3:18

The verse speaks of what Christians should do while waiting for the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. According to the context of this verse, some questioned the credibility of Christ’s promise to return. That greatly disturbed the believers. So Apostle Peter reminded them that a thousand years is only a day with the Lord and that the Lord is faithful in what He had promised. Then He reminded them that as they wait for His coming, they should live their lives in holiness and godliness, and grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we wait for that glorious moment which God will decide, it is our responsibility as Christians to grow and to live a life pleasing to Him until He comes again. - Commentary By Jeremy B. Trio

Today's Prayer:

Lord, as I wait for that beautiful moment, help me to grow and mature. I pray You will help me grow, live a life pleasing to You, and be an inspiration to others. Amen.
