"Este Mismo Día!"

Verso de hoy:

 Pero David dijo al filisteo: “Tú vienes a mí con espada, lanza y jabalina;  pero yo vengo a ti en el nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de los ejércitos de Israel, a quien tú has desafiado.  Hoy mismo el Señor te entregará en mi mano, te heriré y te cortaré la cabeza;  y daré hoy los cadáveres del ejército filisteo a las aves del cielo ya las fieras de la tierra, para que toda la tierra sepa que hay un Dios en Israel ”.  - 1 Samuel 17: 45-46

 David y Goliat es una historia eterna.  Cada vez que lo leo, me siento renovado con nuevos conocimientos sobre la fe total de David en Dios.  Admiro su confianza en sí mismo, carácter, valentía, entrenamiento y gran optimismo.  Ningún soldado del ejército de Israel tuvo el valor de enfrentarse a Goliat, excepto un pastorcillo.  David era un gran optimista que en lugar de enfocarse en el hecho de que estaba enfrentando a un gigante y un guerrero experimentado, reavivó su memoria de perseguir y matar leones y osos para rescatar a sus ovejas (versículos 34-36).  Frente a su enemigo, David declaró con valentía: "Hoy mismo el Señor te entregará en mi mano".  Hoy en día, también podríamos estar enfrentando gigantes en forma de diferentes problemas como enfermedad, desempleo o adicción.  ¡No pierdas la esperanza y ríndete!  En lugar de concentrarse en cuán grandes son los problemas, enfóquese en cuán grande es Dios.  Siempre comience su día declarando: "Hoy, a través de Jesús, saldré victorioso".  - Comentario de Mark Natividad

 Oración de hoy:

 Nuestro Padre Celestial, vengo humildemente ante Ti y busco Tu ayuda.  Aunque me enfrento a problemas que me parecen abrumadores, sé que nada es imposible para Ti y que me llevarás a la victoria.  Amén.

"This Very Day!"

Today’s Verse:

But David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword and spear and javelin; but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This very day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head; and I will give the dead bodies of the Philistine army this very day to the birds of the air and to the wild animals of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” - 1 Samuel 17:45-46

David and Goliath is a timeless story. Each time I read it, I’m refreshed with new insights into David’s complete faith in God. I admire his self-confidence, character, bravery, training, and great optimism. No soldier in the army of Israel had the courage to face Goliath, except for a shepherd boy. David was a great optimist that instead of focusing on the fact that he was facing a giant and a seasoned warrior, he rekindled his memory of chasing and killing lions and bears to rescue his sheep (verse 34-36). In front of his enemy, David boldly declared, “This very day the Lord will deliver you into my hand.” Today, we might also be facing giants in the form of different problems like sickness, unemployment, or addiction. Do not lose hope and surrender! Instead of concentrating on how big the problems are, focus on how much bigger God is. Always start your day by declaring, “Today through Jesus I will be victorious.” - Commentary by Mark Natividad

Today’s Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, I come humbly before You and seek Your help. Though I am facing problems that seem overwhelming to me, I know that nothing is impossible for You and that you will deliver me to victory. Amen.
