"Muchas Palabras,"

Verso de hoy:

 Porque son vida para quienes las encuentran y curación para toda su carne.  - Proverbios 4:22

 En este versículo, "ellos" se refiere a las palabras de Dios, la Biblia.  Los versículos 20 y 21 continúan diciendo que debemos estar atentos a las palabras de Dios y que deben mantenerse en nuestro corazón.  ¿Recuerdas el dicho, los palos y las piedras pueden romper mis huesos, pero las palabras nunca me lastimarán?  No creo que esto sea del todo cierto y sé que las palabras me han herido.  También sé que las palabras del Evangelio tienen la capacidad de dar vida, vida eterna.  Las palabras del Evangelio definitivamente no lastimarán a nadie, pero no decirlas puede hacerlo.  Las palabras del Evangelio son en verdad vida y sanación.  El versículo 23 continúa explicando que la vida fluye de nuestro corazón.  ¿Cómo cuidas tu corazón?  ¿Esto hace que le hables vida al mundo?  Debemos guardar nuestro corazón porque lo que está en nuestro corazón es lo que fluirá de él.  Dios te ha dado una gran bendición a través del poder y el uso de tus palabras, úsalas sabiamente.  - Comentario de Kristina Taylor

 Oración de hoy:

 Señor, por favor guarda nuestros corazones para que permitamos que el Evangelio primero nos dé vida y sanidad para luego pasarlo a otros.  Oro para que llevemos cautivo cada pensamiento y que se centre en ti y en las bendiciones que nos has dado.  Ayúdanos a poder discernir rápidamente formas de compartir Tus palabras que dan vida y sanación.  Amén.

"Many Words,"

Today’s Verse: 

For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. - Proverbs 4:22

In this verse “they” is referring to the words of God, the Bible. Verses 20 & 21 goes on to say we should be attentive to God’s words and that they should be kept in our hearts. Do you remember the saying, sticks, and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me? I don’t believe this is entirely true, and I know words have hurt me. I also know that the Gospel’s words hold the ability to give life, eternal life. The words of the Gospel definitely won’t hurt someone, but not saying them may. The words of the Gospel are indeed life and healing. Verse 23 goes on to explain that life flows from our hearts. How do you take care of your heart? Does this cause you to speak life into the world? We must guard our hearts for what is in our heart is what will flow from it. God has given you a great blessing through the power and use of your words, use them wisely. - Commentary by Kristina Taylor

Today’s Prayer:

Lord, please guard our hearts so that we allow the Gospel to first give us life and healing so that we can then pass it on to others. I pray that we take every thought captive and that they are centered on You and the blessings You have given us. Help us to quickly be able to discern ways to share Your words that give life and healing. Amen.
