"Un Río Turbulento,"

Verso de hoy:

 Incluso si el río es turbulento, no se asusta;  tiene confianza aunque Jordan se precipita contra su boca.  - Trabajo 40:23

 Una de mis analogías favoritas es la del río en constante cambio.  Esta analogía ha cambiado por completo mi perspectiva de la vida.  A menudo se usa para ayudarnos a comprender cuánto un acto puede cambiar el panorama general.  Si bien esta es una gran analogía, tiendo a ir con una más elaborada.  Cuando era un campista joven, me encantaba hacer rafting en aguas bravas.  Trabajar a través de todos esos rápidos locos siempre me dio prisa, pero también me costó un montón de trabajo hacerlo.  Sin embargo, una vez hecho el trabajo, esa última parte siempre me pareció bastante pacífica.  El verso de hoy nos recuerda que no importa cuán duro se pongan los rápidos en el río de la vida, un momento de paz está a la vuelta de la siguiente curva esperándonos después de que todo el trabajo esté completo.  - Comentario de Matthew J.  Padre, la vida puede ser difícil, pero la paz siempre está a la vuelta de la esquina.  A medida que avanzamos por los rápidos de la vida, ayúdanos a tener fe y comprensión.  Danos orientación y paciencia mientras lo afrontamos todo.  Amén.

Today’s Verse:

Even if the river is turbulent, it is not frightened; it is confident though Jordan rushes against its mouth. - Job 40:23

One of my favorite analogies is that of the ever-changing river. This analogy has changed my entire outlook on life. It is often used to help us understand how much one act can change the bigger picture. While this is a great analogy, I tend to go with a more elaborate one. As a young camper, I loved to go white water rafting. Working through all those crazy rapids always gave me a rush, but it also took a ton of work to do so. Once the work was done though, that last bit always seemed quite peaceful to me. Today’s verse reminds us that no matter how hard the rapids get on the river of life, that a peaceful moment is just around the next bend waiting for us after all the work is complete. - Commentary by Matthew J. Today’s Prayer:

Father, life can be hard, but peace is always just around the bend. As we work through the rapids of life help us to have faith and understanding. Give us guidance and patience as we charge through it all. Amen.
