"Nunca Lejos,"

Verso de hoy:

 De día el Señor manda a su misericordia, y de noche su cántico es conmigo, una oración al Dios de mi vida.  - Salmo 42: 8

 Hay momentos en nuestras vidas en los que sentimos que nos falta algo.  El pasaje de hoy nos recuerda que el amor de Dios nunca está lejos.  A veces puede parecer que Dios está distante, que no está cuidando de ti, pero esto es lo más alejado de la verdad.  El amor de Dios por ti es eterno, nunca cesa, nunca se rinde, siempre está ahí.  Te ama tanto que es insondable.  Estos momentos de malestar y distanciamiento a menudo se conocen como sequedad espiritual, son una oportunidad para amar a Dios a cambio sin sentir Su fuerte presencia.  Esta sequedad se puede considerar un regalo porque si somos capaces de amar a Dios durante estos tiempos es un ejemplo profundo de nuestra devoción a Él.  Así que recuerde que Dios siempre está con nosotros, incluso cuando parece que nos sentimos tan solos.  - Comentario de Matthew J.  Padre, necesito abrazar Tu amor inquebrantable más a menudo en mi vida.  Hoy, oro para que me muestres Tu amor y me ayudes a ofrecerlo a quienes me rodean.  Amén.

"Never Far Away,"

Today’s Verse:

By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. - Psalm 42:8

There are moments in all of our lives when we feel like something is missing. Today’s passage reminds us that God’s love is never far away. At times it may seem like God is distant, that He is not looking out for you, but this is the furthest thing from the truth. God’s love for you is eternal, never ceasing, never surrendering, always there. He loves you so much that it’s unfathomable. These times of discomfort and distance are often known as spiritual dryness, they are an opportunity to love God in return without feeling His strong presence. This dryness can be considered a gift for if we are able to love God during these times it is a profound example of our devotion to Him. So remember God is always with us even when it seems like we feel we are so alone. - Commentary by Matthew J. Elliott

Today’s Prayer:

Father, I need to embrace Your steadfast love more often in my life. Today, I pray that You will show me Your love and help me offer it to those around me. Amen.
