"En construcción,"

Verso de hoy:

 Porque nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que está puesto;  ese fundamento es Jesucristo.  - 1 Corintios 3:11

 Una vez que termina el invierno y las temperaturas son cálidas, hay una cosa en la que puede contar, y es la construcción y reparación de carreteras.  Mientras viajaba el verano pasado parecía que la construcción de carreteras estaba por todas partes.  Para el viajero, puede ser un dolor de cabeza: el tráfico lento, el ruido, los frecuentes arranques y paradas.  Recuerdo un área de constante construcción de nuevas carreteras por la que viajaba con bastante frecuencia.  Con el tiempo noté las diferentes fases por las que pasaron los trabajadores para construir la carretera.  Lo que más me llamó la atención es que necesitaba una buena base;  sin él, el camino no duraría.  Al igual que en la construcción de un camino fuerte y duradero, también lo es con nuestra vida espiritual.  Necesitamos una fe sólida y buena en Dios y Su Palabra para que nosotros también podamos construir una base duradera (relación) con Él.  Sin eso, nuestras vidas se derrumbarán y nuestra vida eterna con Él será inexistente.  ¿Como hacemos eso?  Oramos y estudiamos Su Palabra a diario, ya sea solos o en grupo, y vamos a la iglesia.  Así es como construimos fuerza, carácter, crecemos en santidad y aprendemos acerca de Jesús.  Sin una fe fuerte, nuestra base fracasará.  - Comentario de: Arial Merick

 Oración de hoy:

 Señor, ayúdanos a recordar que construir una vida contigo requiere fe y comprensión de Tu Palabra.  Cuanto más fuerte sea ese fundamento, más seguros podremos estar de nuestra vida eterna contigo.  Qué glorioso será ese día.  Amén.

"Under Construction,"

Today's verse:

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ. - 1 Corinthians 3:11

Once winter is over and the temperatures warm there is one thing you can count on, and that is road construction and repair. While traveling last summer it seemed road construction was everywhere. For the traveler, it can be a headache: the slow traffic, the noise, the frequent starts, and stops. I remember one area of constant new road construction that I traveled quite frequently. Over time I noticed the different phases the workers went through to build the road. What struck me most is that it needed a good foundation; without it, the road would not last. Just as in building a strong and lasting road, so it is also with our spiritual life. We need a good strong faith in God and His Word so that we may too, build a lasting foundation (relationship) with Him. Without that our lives will crumble and our eternal life with Him will be non-existent. How do we do that? We pray and study His Word daily whether it be alone or in a group, and we go to church. That is how we build strength, character, grow in holiness, and learn about Jesus. Without a strong faith, our foundation will fail. - Commentary by: Arial Merick

Today's Prayer:

Lord, help us to remember that building a life with You requires faith and understanding of Your Word. The stronger that foundation is, the more assured we can be of our eternal life with You. What a glorious day that will be. Amen.
