"Controla tu lengua,"

Verso de hoy:

 La lengua amable es árbol de vida, pero su perversidad quebranta el espíritu.  - Proverbios 15: 4

 Este versículo nos proporciona un principio general que es válido para todas las personas.  La lengua del hombre es una de las herramientas más poderosas tanto para la construcción como para la destrucción.  El versículo nos dice que una lengua suave es un árbol de vida, lo que significa que puede producir avivamiento, consuelo y sanidad.  Sin embargo, la lengua perversa quebranta el espíritu, lo que significa que puede causar dolor, tristeza y angustia.  Nos recuerda que debemos elegir nuestras palabras sabiamente o incluso cambiar la forma en que hablamos con las personas.  No permitamos que la ira nos venza.  La ira incontrolada es la causa habitual de las palabras duras.  El orgullo y la arrogancia también son causa de palabras dolorosas, y la conversación lasciva es pecaminosa y algo en lo que ningún cristiano debería participar. Debemos evitar estas cosas y comenzar a pensar y enfocarnos en cómo podemos mostrar nuestro amor y respeto a las personas que nos rodean.  .  - Comentario de: Jeremy B. Trio

 Señor, guarda mis labios de decir cosas que puedan dañar a otros.  Ayúdame a elegir las palabras correctas para decir que edifiquen a otros y no los derriben.  Ayúdame a elegir amar en lugar de herir a la gente.  Amén.

"Control Your Tongue,"

Today’s Verse:

A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. - Proverbs 15:4

This verse provides us with a general principle that is true for all people. The tongue of man is one of the most powerful tools for both building and destruction. The verse tells us that a gentle tongue is a tree of life which means that it can bring about revival, comfort, and healing. However, the perverse tongue breaks the spirit which means it can cause pain, sorrow, and distress. It reminds us to choose our words wisely or even change the way we talk to people. Let us not allow anger to overcome us. Uncontrolled anger is the usual cause of harsh words. Pride and arrogance are also a cause of painful words, and lewd conversation is sinful and something that no Christian should ever partake in. We should avoid these things and start thinking and focusing on how we can show our love and respect to the people around us. - Commentary By: Jeremy B. Trio

Today’s Prayer:

Lord, guard my lips from speaking things that can harm others. Help me to choose the right words to say that will build others up and not tear them down. Help me choose to love rather than to hurt people. Amen.
