Verso de hoy:

 Mis hermanos y hermanas, ¿con sus actos de favoritismo realmente creen en nuestro glorioso Señor Jesucristo?  Porque si una persona con anillos de oro y ropa fina entra en su asamblea, y si también entra una persona pobre con ropa sucia, y si nota a la persona que usa la ropa fina y dice: "Siéntese aquí, por favor  , "Mientras que al que es pobre le dices:" Quédate ahí "o" Siéntate a mis pies ", ¿no has hecho distinciones entre ustedes y se han convertido en jueces con malos pensamientos?  - Santiago 2: 1-4

 En mis casi 30 años de transmisión en la NBA y MLB, me he encontrado con varias personas muy ricas.  He estado en presencia de varios atletas multimillonarios y algunos propietarios multimillonarios.  Y he visto el respeto, incluso la reverencia, que estos individuos parecen mandar de las masas.  La mayoría de nosotros hemos estado ahí.  Parece que tenemos algo para los ricos y famosos, que desean ver sus hogares, querer saber sobre sus vidas personales, seguirlos en las redes sociales, mientras que a veces ignoramos a los pobres y pasamos por las personas sin hogar.  Dios no hace distinciones con las personas con respecto a la riqueza.  Él nos ama a todos por igual.  Él ama a sus hijos por lo que somos, no por lo que valemos, y quiere que hagamos exactamente lo mismo.  - Comentario de: Jerry Schemmel

 Padre Dios, ayúdanos a mirar a los demás como lo haces sin tener en cuenta la riqueza, el estado o la popularidad.  Ayúdanos a no hacer distinciones sobre los demás y ayúdanos a amarlos simplemente.  Amén.

Today's Verse:

My brothers and sisters, do you with your acts of favoritism really believe in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ? For if a person with gold rings and in fine clothes comes into your assembly, and if a poor person in dirty clothes also comes in, and if you take notice of the one wearing the fine clothes and say, “Have a seat here, please,” while to the one who is poor you say, “Stand there,” or, “Sit at my feet,” have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? - James 2:1-4

In my almost 30 years of broadcasting in the NBA and MLB, I have encountered several very wealthy individuals. I have been in the presence of several multi-millionaire athletes and a few multi-billionaire owners. And I’ve seen the respect, even the reverence, these individuals seem to command from the masses. Most of us have been there. We seem to have a thing for the rich and famous, desiring to see their homes, wanting to know about their personal lives, following them on social media, while we sometimes ignore the poor and drive by the homeless. God makes no distinctions with people in regard to wealth. He loves us all the same. He loves His children because of who we are, not because of what we’re worth, and He wants us to do exactly the same. - Commentary by: Jerry Schemmel

Father God, please help us to look at others just like You do without regard to wealth, status or popularity. Help us not to make distinctions about others and help us to simply love them. Amen.
