"Muerdete la lengua,"

Verso de hoy:

 Te digo que el día del juicio tendrás que rendir cuentas por cada palabra descuidada que pronuncies;  porque por tus palabras serás justificado, y por tus palabras serás condenado.  - Mateo: 12: 36-37

 Nuestra lengua es probablemente una de las armas más complejas jamás hechas.  Puede desencadenar resultados bastante sorprendentes en cualquier momento.  Puede lanzar insultos de la nada, puede atravesar un corazón desde cualquier distancia, puede noquear la autoestima de una persona en un instante y puede destruir las relaciones a la velocidad del rayo.  Hay un viejo dicho, "palos y piedras pueden romper mis huesos, pero las palabras nunca me harán daño".  La verdad es que sí duelen.  De hecho, pueden doler mucho.  Aprende a alejarte en el calor del momento.  Ora por las palabras que salen de tu boca.  Recuerde que una vez que se pronuncian sus palabras, no se pueden recuperar.  El dolor infligido por tu lengua puede durar toda la vida, así que ten mucho cuidado con lo que dices.  Como dice el versículo anterior: "el día del juicio tendrás que dar cuenta de cada palabra descuidada que pronuncies".  Solo usted puede elegir usar su lengua como arma o usarla para bien, como Dios quiere que lo hagamos.  - Comentario de: Anna Pachaud

 Querido Señor, gracias por enseñarme a usar mi lengua para el bien de Dios.  Rezo para que nunca lo use como arma y que observe cuidadosamente las palabras que pronuncio.  Amén.

Today's Verse:

I tell you, on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter; for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. - Matthew: 12:36-37

Our tongue is probably one of the most intricate weapons ever made. It can trigger some pretty amazing results at any given time. It can hurl insults from out of nowhere, it can pierce a heart from any distance, it can knock out a person’s self-esteem in a flash, and it can blow apart relationships at lightning speed. There is that old saying, “sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” The truth is they do hurt. In fact, they can hurt a lot. Learn to walk away in the heat of the moment. Pray about the words that come out of your mouth. Remember that once your words are spoken, they cannot be taken back. The hurt inflicted by your tongue can last a lifetime, so be very careful about what you say. Like the verse above says: “on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter.” Only you can make the choice of using your tongue as a weapon or using it for good, as God wants us to. - Commentary by: Anna Pachaud

Dear Lord, thank you for teaching me about using my tongue for the good of God. I pray that I never use it as a weapon and that I will carefully watch what words I utter. Amen.
