"Buscando el Perdón,"

Verso de hoy:

 Cuando Dios vio lo que habían hecho y cómo habían puesto fin a sus malos caminos, cambió de opinión y no llevó a cabo la destrucción que había amenazado.  - Jonás 3:10

 A veces es realmente difícil comprender cómo obra Dios, ¿no es así?  Hay momentos en los que parece que Su amor es todo lo que vemos.  Si bien esto es cierto, Dios revela Su amor de muchas formas diferentes.  En este caso, Dios les dijo a los ninivitas que los iba a destruir, luego se arrepintieron y Dios cambió de opinión.  En nuestras vidas puede haber momentos en los que sentimos que todo lo que nos golpea es lo malo, pero la realidad es que Dios está trabajando aún más duro en esos tiempos.  La advertencia que se dio a través de Jonás realmente llamó la atención del Rey.  Luego llamó a la ciudad al arrepentimiento.  Esto lleva a que toda la ciudad regrese a Dios, busque el perdón y Dios actúe con justicia.  - Comentario de: Matthew Elliott

 Padre Dios, perdóname por las veces que tuve que arrepentirme y no lo hice hasta el último momento posible.  Oro para que me ayudes a examinar mi conciencia a diario y a arrepentirme de mis pecados.  Amén.

Today’s Verse:

When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened. - Jonah  3:10

Sometimes it’s really difficult to grasp how God works, isn’t it? There are moments when it seems His love is all that we see. While this is true, God reveals His love in many different ways. In this instance, God told the Ninevites that He was going to destroy them, then they repented and God changed His mind. In our lives there may be those moments in which we feel like all that’s hitting us is the bad, but the reality is that God is working even harder in those times. The warning that was given through Jonah really caught the King's attention. He then called the city to repentance. This leads to the entire city coming back to God, seeking forgiveness, and God acting justly. - Commentary by: Matthew Elliott

Today’s Prayer:

Father God, please forgive me for the times I’ve needed to repent and haven’t done so until the last possible moment. I pray that You help me examine my conscience daily and repent of my sins. Amen.
