Have you ever felt like David when he prayed this Psalm? It is not an easy spot to be in, is it? Sometimes it just seems as though no one cares about what is going on in your life and that God is simply silent. But here is the reality, God is not silent. He is weeping with you in your moments of sorrow. He is at your side in times of hardship, and He is comforting you in your moments of pain. He carries us all through our most difficult times and gives us strength so that we may carry on.  Amados, no crean a todo espíritu, sino prueben los espíritus para ver si son de Dios;  porque muchos falsos profetas han salido por el mundo.  -1 Juan 4: 1

 ¿Alguna vez lees o escuchas algo de un maestro de la Biblia y te preguntas si lo que están diciendo es realmente correcto?  Si no lo ha hecho, ¡debería hacerlo!  Incluso los profesores más respetados todavía están aprendiendo por sí mismos y no van a hacer todo bien al 100% todo el tiempo.  Sin mencionar que también hay muchos falsos maestros por ahí.  Entonces, ¿cómo sabemos si algo es verdaderamente de Dios?  ¡Lea la Biblia usted mismo!  Cuanto más familiarizado esté con las Escrituras, más falsas enseñanzas le saldrán tan pronto como las lea.  Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que incluso si alguien hace algo mal de vez en cuando, eso no lo convierte automáticamente en un falso maestro.  El discernimiento es clave para determinar si alguien simplemente cometió un desliz, está mal informado o está desviando intencionalmente a otros.  ¡Pídele a Dios discernimiento!  - Comentario de: Traci Elliott

Today’s Verse:

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.  -1 John 4:1

Do you ever read or hear something from a Bible teacher and wonder whether what they are saying is really correct? If you haven’t, you should! Even the most respected teachers are still learning themselves and aren’t going to get everything 100% right all the time. Not to mention that there are many false teachers out there as well. So how do we know whether something is truly from God? Read the Bible for yourself! The more familiar you are with scripture, the more false teachings will stick out to you as soon as you read them. Keep in mind though that even if someone gets something wrong now and then, that doesn’t automatically make them a false teacher. Discernment is key to determining whether someone just slipped up, is ill-informed, or they are intentionally leading others astray. Ask God for discernment! - Commentary by: Traci Elliott

Verso de hoy:

 pero su deleite está en la ley del Señor, y en su ley meditan día y noche.  Son como árboles plantados junto a corrientes de agua, que dan su fruto a su tiempo y sus hojas no se marchitan. En todo lo que hacen, prosperan.  - Salmo 1: 2-3

 El camino hacia la fecundidad requiere que nos deleitemos en la ley del Señor.  No se trata solo de formar un hábito, sino de desarrollar una pasión por la Palabra de Dios.  Se trata más de disfrutar de la Palabra que de acostumbrarse a ella.  Además, la meditación en Su Palabra no debe detenerse después de haber terminado su lectura bíblica diaria o su tiempo de devoción.  Lo que ha aprendido debe permanecer en su mente y corazón para nunca olvidarlo.  El resultado es la fecundidad porque pronto se encontrará haciendo las cosas que ha aprendido de la Biblia.  Este versículo también nos recuerda que, sin Dios y Su Palabra, nunca seremos fructíferos.  Es por eso que las personas que meditan en la Palabra de Dios se describen como "como árboles plantados junto a corrientes de agua".  - Comentario de: Jeremy B.  Señor, gracias por Tu Palabra que siempre está ahí para mí.  Perdóname, porque hay veces que lo doy por sentado.  Ayúdame a meditar diariamente en Tu Palabra para que pueda ser fructífero en mi vida como cristiano.  Amén.

Today’s Verse: 

but their delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law they meditate day and night. They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper. - Psalm 1:2-3

The road to fruitfulness requires us to delight in the law of the Lord. It is not just about forming a habit but forming a passion for God’s Word. It is more about relishing the Word rather than just getting used to it. Also meditating on His Word should not stop after you have finished your daily Bible reading or devotion time. What you have learned should remain in your mind and heart never to be forgotten. The result is fruitfulness because soon you will find yourself doing the things that you have learned from the Bible. This verse also reminds us that apart from God and His Word, we will never be fruitful. That is why people who meditate on God’s Word are described as being, “like trees planted beside the streams of water.” - Commentary By: Jeremy B. Trio

Lord, thank you for Your Word that is always there for me. Forgive me, for there are times that I take it for granted. Help me to meditate on Your Word daily so that I can be fruitful in my life as a Christian. Amen.

Verso de hoy:
Aunque soy el menor de todos los santos, esta gracia me fue dada para llevar a los gentiles la noticia de las ilimitadas riquezas de Cristo.  - Efesios 3: 8
El capítulo tres de Efesios es uno de esos capítulos que está lleno de pequeños recordatorios maravillosos de la gracia de Dios.  El verso de arriba es uno de ellos.  Si bien Pablo es, con mucho, el apóstol más popular, nunca sintió que mereciera ser usado por Dios de la forma en que lo fue.  Esto es parte de lo que se refiere en el versículo de hoy.  Es algo que podemos tomarnos en serio como recordatorio de que Dios puede usar a cualquiera para Su gloria.  Como individuos, todos tenemos limitaciones, al igual que Pablo, pero a través del poder de Dios, realmente podemos hacer una diferencia en el mundo que nos rodea.  La pregunta que tenemos que hacernos es, ¿estamos dispuestos a permitir que Dios nos use para Su gloria?  La elección es suya.- Comentario de: Matthew J. Dios Padre, sabemos que usas hasta al más pequeño de nosotros para revelar tus maravillas al mundo que nos rodea.  Hoy oramos para que nos ayudes a aceptar y aceptar el hecho de que puedes y lo harás.  Amén.

Today’s Verse:
Although I am the least of all the saints, this grace was given to me to bring to the gentiles the news of the boundless riches of Christ. – Ephesians 3:8
Ephesians Chapter three is one of those chapters that is just filled with wonderful little reminders of God’s grace. The verse above is one of them. While Paul is by far the most popular apostle, he never really felt he deserved to be used by God in the way that he was. This is part of what he is referring to in today’s verse. It is something we can take to heart as a reminder that God can use anyone for His glory. As individuals, we all have limitations, just as Paul did, but through the power of God, we truly can make a difference in the world around us. The question we have to ask ourselves is, are we willing to let God use us for His glory? The choice is yours.- Commentary by: Matthew J. Elliott
